This March, we are bringing you to Gooseberry Yurts in Virgin, Utah, which overlooks the majestic Zion National Park.
With Zion as our backdrop, we will be forging ahead in creating unique experiences while keeping the Freezing Man tradition alive.
There will be community-led events, interactions with nature, and some quiet time to introspect.
This year, we will attempt to bring a sauna/hot tub into a desert area without electricity or running water…
Location: Virgin, UT
The closest airport is Las Vegas Airport and Salt Lake City Airport.
The drive from Las Vegas is ~2.5 hours, and the drive from Salt Lake City is 4.5 hours.
We will coordinate carpool groups from the airport in the Freezing Man Chat – give us your planned itinerary in the sign-up form, and we will connect you with relevant people.

You will be responsible for bringing your own bedding (pillow, sleeping bag and sheets), clothes, as well as food.
We will be serving a hot breakfast and dinner. You will be in charge of cooking one meal for the entire camp during your stay, working in a group of 2-4 people. A sign-up list will be sent out to coordinate the groups and the menu. You will be responsible for bringing all the required ingredients for your recipe.
Several families with young children may be joining so you will be in good company. If enough families join, we will provide childcare support.
$465/person (including children) paid via the sign-up form. 3% discount if you pay via Venmo.
This covers the cost of the infrastructure (yurts, UTVs, canyoneering guide, sauna/hot tub, etc). If we don’t end up using all the money, you will be refunded.
In past years, we adhered to some semblance of COVID safety (antigen testing, etc.). This year, in 2023, we will no longer be doing that.
Use your best judgement.
If you are looking to make this a weekend trip, you’re welcome to join us for the two main days of Saturday and Sunday, when the most impactful events will take place.
Accommodations will be available for all four days and most of us will be staying Friday the 3rd to Monday the 6th of March.
